What kind of mannequins, if any, do you use in your store to display products?

I've seen a lot of dog mannequins at trade shows, but do people use cat mannequins?

Why even bother with mannequins? I think retailers would sell more by using live animals modeling the product. Who can resist that kind of marketing?

We have the stuffed black dog mannequins for our products, but they really seem to be more of a pain than anything else... Kids carry them around and try and ride them and their legs get bent beyond repair... They'd look good in a window where no one could harass them, I guess!

We got 4 full size stuffed dogs, two small dogs, and two cats.....

The customers love them, they look great in the windows and get huge reactions from anyone who passes.  They are found on-line at

We have a Huskie, Dalmation, Golden Retriever, and a Black Lab.  A yorkie and a Chihuahua, and two long hair cats.....they are full size and they draw people into the store!
